I joined the camera department in 1984 when my first paying job was as clapper loader on the pop promo for Dead or Alive 'You Spin Me Right Round'



I had previously worked on many shoots as a runner and even as an extra in Divine's video for 'You Think You're a Man'

 

The rest of the 80's was a blur of loud music, smoke machines and famous pop stars as I went from one promo to the next with often only time to grab a quick shower in between.
